One of my goals coming into 2017 was that my website would be revamped to reflect where my business is going. I usually DIY, but as you can see, it's still the same old one :-) I was not pleased with this situation as I had envisioned myself pumping out content, and just starting the year 'right'. Until I realized something, such thinking would only make me more frustrated and stuck, so I stopped thinking that way.
Instead, want to discuss 2 thoughts today.
Dreams don't expire, unless you are dead.
We don't get to clarity alone.
- DREAMS DON'T EXPIRE
I know that you may be feeling discouraged that you are already falling back to old habits, in spite of the resolute way you set your 2017 resolutions. But here's the thing, you don't need it to be January 1st to start writing down your goals, any time is tea time, as long as you are still breathing. So, take a deep breath, pull out your note-taking method and start jotting those goals down.
2. WE DON'T GET TO CLARITY ALONE
A dear friend and now mentor of mine actually said this to me during one of our sessions, and it stuck with me. Looking back I realize just how isolated I have been, and I'm happy that has changed. As an entrepreneur you need other people to push you forward, and sometimes the right resources to keep you clear and focused.
On this note I'll share my top 3 FREE resources for goal-setting for 2017. I'm sure there's more out there, but these have been phenomenal. And no, this post is not sponsored in any way :-)
Enjoy, and feel free to write and let me know if they've helped you in any way!
Kirsten is a coach that I've had the privilege to speak to. She has been instrumental in helping me gain clarity and direction, and her Goal-setting document is truly golden. You can download it here.
I can't say enough good things about the Story Brand and it's influence on how I view websites and messaging. Donald Miller and his team deliver high-quality, concise information that is easy to implement. And their story-brand schedule is no different. I'm yet to fully implement it, but it truly is worth the time. Download it here.
Pat Flynn is also another blogger who produces quality, well thought out content, and he has a wealth of knowledge, backed up by numbers, about running a successful online business. This post is a great one, and it contains a challenge that you can take up too! Click on the title or image to get to the post.
